It is the Mulino di Botasi, a complex of buildings in pure rural architecture that tells, stone after stone, the story of a community bound to water, hard work, and the land. The Final Years of Activity
Until just a few years ago, the mill was still in operation, a silent witness to an ancient tradition surviving into modern times. And until 2023, its rooms were still inhabited, cared for by those who knew every beam and every reflection of light on the stone walls. Then, gradually, the doors closed, leaving behind a silence filled with memory.
A Property Looking Toward the Future
Today the site, owned by the Istituto Diocesano per il Sostentamento del Clero, is for sale. Yet its destiny is not abandonment. An approved project is already in place for the construction of a mini hydroelectric power plant — a new chapter that could restore energy and purpose to a place where water has symbolized life and work for centuries.
