Along the road connecting Santo Stefano to Rezzoaglio, winding through lush greenery, a small secret lies waiting. Right at the fork leading to Cornaleto, a short yet enchanting trail opens up to curious travelers, inviting them to discover a lesser-known corner of the region.
The path leads to a charming single-arch bridge spanning the Gramizza Stream. Despite its seemingly ancient appearance, the bridge dates back to 1825, making it more recent than it appears. Its simple yet elegant structure tells a story of local craftsmanship and tradition.
The bridge is nestled in a natural setting of rare beauty, surrounded by forests and the gentle murmur of flowing water, creating an almost fairytale-like atmosphere. Yet, the charm of the place should not obscure its fragility: the bridge lacks side protections and shows signs of wear, likely due to the dominance of vehicular traffic that altered its original function.
