Departure from the center of Lavagna
The route starts from the center of Lavagna, climbing along Salita San Bernardo next to the Fravega stream, following the red cross trail sign.
Berissi Valley and Chighina area
Once in the Berissi Valley, continue up to Località Chighina in Via dei Mulini. From here you go up towards the hamlet of Crocetta, following the solid red square trail sign.
Direction Sorlana and Bosco della Selva del Monte Costello
After passing the town of Sorlana, the route enters the woods towards the Selva del Monte Costello. This area offers large meadow spaces and breathtaking views, ideal for a break during the excursion.
Following the red outline triangle trail sign, you reach the summit of Monte Capenardo. From here the route begins, marked with a solid red circle pictogram, which descends back to Colla and subsequently to the hamlet of Crocetta.
Forest and Slate Extraction Areas
Along the route, you pass through stretches of forest and areas of low vegetation which still show signs of slate extraction, particularly evident on the ridge.
From the hamlet of Crocetta, you can easily continue up to Santa Giulia. Here you can stop to admire the sea before taking the mule track that takes you back to the center of Lavagna.
