In the heart of the Bosco delle Lame stand two majestic presences, united not only by their species but also by their shared destiny: two Fagus sylvatica L. trees that form a homogeneous and solemn whole. Between their trunks and the rustling of leaves, these beeches tell a story shaped by balance, shade, and the slow passage of time.
Growing side by side, the two beeches stand out for their grandeur and harmony, becoming a natural landmark within the forest. Their canopies intertwine, creating a green vault that filters the light and transforms the forest floor into an almost sacred space, where every step invites silence and attentive listening.
The local community has respectfully and affectionately renamed them the “Kings of the Forest.” This nickname did not arise by chance, but from daily observation of their majesty and the central role they play in the landscape. More than trees, they are symbols: guardians of the Bosco delle Lame and witnesses to a deep bond between nature and collective memory.
