The gabled façade of the oratory, simple and inviting with its single portal, invites contemplation and prayer. Next to the church the bell tower stands proudly, a tangible symbol of the sacredness of the place. Belonging to the Confraternity of Disciplinanti, affiliated to the Oratory of San Francesco of Chiavari, this sacred place has witnessed centuries of devotion and service to the community.

Artistic and Historical Details

Particular attention deserves the slate architrave at the entrance to the oratory, decorated with a bas-relief depicting Saint Lucia and two brothers kneeling at her feet, next to the date of foundation: 1586. This artistic detail not only enriches the aesthetics of the oratory , but it also tells a profound story of faith and devotion passed down through the centuries.

Artistic and Spiritual Treasures

Inside, the oratory houses a single altar dominated by a 16th century painting by the Chiavarese painter Antonio Maria Sturla. This work of art represents Saint Lucia between Saint Bartholomew and Saint Sebastian, evoking an atmosphere of sacredness and contemplation. A niche to the left of the altar, which in the past housed the wooden statue of Saint Lucia, today preserves the essence of her devotion in a small ark located in the middle of the nave.
