An Interior of Spirituality and Beauty

Once you cross the threshold, you find yourself surrounded by the solemn atmosphere of a single nave interior, enriched by five altars which preserve treasures of art and spirituality. Of particular importance are the choir stalls, dating back to the second decade of the nineteenth century and coming from the church of S. Francesco di Chiavari, which give a sense of ancient nobility and dignity to the sanctuary.

The Artistic Treasures of the Church

The first altar on the right deserves particular attention, dating back to the end of the seventeenth century and dedicated to S. Rocco. The painting above it depicts the Madonna and Child, the hermit St. Albert and St. Rocco, exuding a sweetness and serenity that touches the hearts of the faithful. On the second altar on the right, there is a wooden group depicting the Madonna of the Rosary with the Child and angels, a work dating back to the mid-eighteenth century and attributed to Maestro Maragliano or his workshop. This splendid sculpture, with its grace and delicacy, invites the faithful to prayer and contemplation, immersing them in a world of sacred beauty and mystery.
